Atlantic City FC to play in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2020

Atlantic City FC players celebrate a 2-1 win over FC Motown

For the first time in Atlantic City FC history, the Aces will compete in the oldest soccer tournament known as the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Tournament was founded in 1914 that features teams in the MLS, USL Championship, USL League One, USL League Two, NPSL, and NISA.

Only two teams in the state of New Jersey have won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The first was Paterson F.C. in 1923, and the other was Elizabeth S.C. twice, once in 1970 and again in 1972.

This year, Atlantic City FC wrapped up its second season in the National Premier Soccer League, finishing in first place with a record of 7-2-1 in the Keystone Conference but were eliminated in the Keystone Conference Semi-Finals to the Philadelphia Lone Star F.C.
