The Philadelphia Eagles added a linebacker in the third round by selecting linebacker Davion Taylor out of Colorado. Taylor is listed at six-foot, 228 pounds, he is quick for his size and can make tackles right on the spot.

Taylor only played two years in Colorado, starting in his junior year. He played twelve games in 2018, notching forty-three tackles, fourteen assisted tackles, one sack, and two fumble recoveries with one of them returned for a touchdown.

In his senior year in 2019, Taylor played twelve games, notching fifty-seven tackles, fifteen assisted tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery. His final stats at Colorado were 100 tackles, 29 assisted tackles, two sacks, three fumble recoveries, and one fumble return for a touchdown.

The linebacker position was one of the Eagles needs since they were thin at that spot, and it will be interesting to see how he fits into Schwartz’s game plan. Taylor has the potential to be an outstanding linebacker who could be a force to be reckoned with and a problem for offensive players.
