The Philadelphia Eagles, in coordination with the NFL, released the 2020 season schedule Thursday night. The Eagles will look to bounce back after a somewhat disappointing season. They finished with a 9-7 record, winning the NFC East, but getting knocked out of the wild card game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Eagles will open the season at FedEx Field on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 1 pm against the Washington Redskins. Week two will see the Eagles first home game will be on Sunday, Sept. 20, against the Los Angeles Rams at 1 pm. The Eagles will get to see the number one pick in this year’s NFL Draft for Week three against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 27 at 1 pm. Week four will be a Sunday night match at Levi’s Stadium against the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.
Week five will see the Eagles travel to the other side of Pennsylvania at Heinz Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 pm. The Eagles will head back home for a week six matchup against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at 1 pm. The Eagles will have a short break before for week seven in a Thursday night matchup against New York Giants at 8:20 pm.
With the extra days off, the Eagles will conclude their three-game homestand in week eight against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night before having a bye in week nine. After the bye week, the Eagles will then head to the Meadowlands for a week ten matchup to take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 1 pm. The Eagles will then head to Cleveland, OH for a week eleven matchup against Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns at 1 pm.
The Eagles will then return home for a week twelve primetime match against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, Nov. 30, at 8:20 pm. In week thirteen, the Eagles will head to Lambeau Field for the second consecutive year on Sunday, Dec. 6 against the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 pm. The Eagles will return home on Sunday, Dec. 13, for a week fourteen showdown against the New Orleans Saints at 4:25 pm.
Five days before Christmas, the Eagles will head out to the desert in a week fifteen matchup against the Arizona Cardinals at 4:05 pm. The Eagles will then have one more road game the following week in a week sixteen contest against the Dallas Cowboys at 4:25 pm. The Eagles will then wrap up the 2020 season in week seventeen as the Washington Redskins come to town Sunday, Jan. 3 at 1 pm.
With the new season now set, the biggest question heading into this year is can the Eagles stay healthy for an entire season and not lose key players early in the season like last year when both Malik Jackson and DeSean Jackson went out the first couple of weeks. With the new additions to the nest, the Eagles will look to soar high with the hopes of finishing the season in Tampa, FL.
