SRX releases 2021 schedule

Superstar Racing Experience

Superstars Racing Experience, the new auto racing league, co-founded by NASCAR Hall of Famer’s Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham, Sandy Montag, and George Pyne, has announced the inaugural 2021 schedule. All of the races will air on CBS and CBS Sports Network.

The six-race season starts June 12th at Stafford Motor Speedway, followed by a trip to Knoxville, IA at Knoxville Raceway on June 19th. The series will then head to Eldora Speedway on June 26th before heading to Lucas Oil Raceway on July 3rd. The last two races of the season are at Slinger Super Speedway in Slinger, WI, on July 10th before wrapping up at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on July 17th.

SRX co-founder and driver Tony Stewart released a statement on the schedule saying, “Our goal in crafting the inaugural SRX schedule was to feature tracks that are challenging, unique and have a strong motorsports history. This six-race series does just that. Four renown pavement tracks in Stafford, Lucas Oil Raceway, Slinger and the Nashville Fairgrounds and the two most prestigious dirt tracks in the country – Eldora and Knoxville. All demand respect and each forces drivers to adapt. What works at one track won’t necessarily transfer to another.”

The drivers that will participate in the inaugural season are Tony Stewart, 2013 Indy 500 winner Tony Kannan, 2015 WEC FIA champion Mark Webber, former NASCAR driver Willy T. Ribbs, current IndyCar on NBC commentator Paul Tracy, Helio Castroneves, 2000 NASCAR champion Bobby Labonte, seven-time Trans-Am Series champion Ernie Francis Jr., and the 1988 NASCAR champion Bill Elliott.
