Phantoms get Tanner Laczynski while losing Derrick Pouliot to Flyers Taxi Squad

A day after the Philadelphia Flyers announced that 2019 first-round defenseman Cam York was headed to the Phantoms, the Flyers announced that Tanner Laczynski was assigned to the Phantoms. Defenseman Derrick Pouliot was recalled to the Flyers Taxi Squad.

The 23-year-old from Minooka, IL, played fourteen games for the Phantoms, scoring six goals, including a hat-trick against the Devils, and four assists on 28 shots. Laczynski was called up to the Flyers and made his debut on April 3rd against the New York Islanders, where he recorded one shot.

Derrick Pouliot played sixteen games this season with the Phantoms, scoring three goals and eight assists on 23 shots. The 27-year-old from Estevan, SK, was a former first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 draft.

He has played in 202 career games with the Penguins and Canucks, scoring eight goals and forty assists on 229 shots. Pouliot started the season on the Flyers Taxi Squad before he was assigned to Lehigh Valley on February 22nd.

The Phantoms will play two home games at the PPL Center starting tomorrow at 7:05 pm against the Hershey Bears and on Sunday, April 11th, against the Binghamton Devils at 5:05 pm.
