Philadelphia Flyers recall Laczynski and Allison to Taxi Squad

Lehigh Valley Phantoms

Shortly after the Lehigh Valley Phantoms games against the Bears and Devils were postponed due to COVID-19 protocols affecting the Phantoms, the Flyers recalled both Tanner Laczynski and Wade Allison to the Flyers Taxi Squad.

Just yesterday, the Flyers sent Laczynski back to the Phantoms. The 23-year-old from Minooka, IL, played fourteen games for the Phantoms, scoring six goals, including a hat-trick against the Devils, and four assists on 28 shots. Laczynski was called up to the Flyers and made his debut on April 3rd against the New York Islanders, where he recorded one shot.

Wade Allison will also join Laczynski on the Taxi Squad. The 23-year-old, 2016 second-round pick out of Carman, MB, CAN, is in his first season with the Phantoms. He got a late start while recovering from ankle surgery. He played eight games, scoring four goals and five assists on fifteen shots. His last goal came on April 3rd against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and assisted Cal O’Reilly’s goal.

The Phantoms next game, pending protocol, will be on Wednesday, April 14th, against the Hershey Bears from the Giant Center at 7 pm on AHL.tv.
