The Ocean City Nor’easters continued their road trip Wednesday night at Rocco Calvo Field on the campus of Moravian College against Lehigh Valley United. The Nor’easters were riding high after a 3-0 win last week against Real Central New Jersey.

The Nor’easters went up 1-0 in the first minute on a goal by MD Myers. Bakary Bagayoko made a great pass to Tyler Watson for the goal and a 2-0 lead in the fourth minute.

In the 28th minute, Ocean City made it a 3-0 on a short corner kick taken by Gilbert Waso. Waso’s kick led to a goal from Luis Grassow. The Nor’easters led 3-0 at halftime.

In the 67th minute, Tyler Watson scored his second goal from outside the box that went bar down into the net for a 4-0. Not long after the goal, Kyle Galloway was substituted for Watson.

After Gilbert Waso was taken down, the Nor’easters earned a penalty kick. Simon Becher took the kick. Lehigh Valley goalkeeper Flannan Riley blocked his initial shot before Becher rebounded the ball and drove it into the net that extended Ocean City’s lead 5-0 in the 75th minute.

In the 80th minute, Gilbert Wasco made another great pass to Simon Becher before Becher scored his second goal. The Nor’easters lead was now 6-0. Five minutes later, Becher completed the hat-trick in the 85th minute as Ocean City’s lead was now 7-0.

When the final whistle was blown, The Ocean City Nor’easters defeated the Lehigh Valley United 7-0 for their second win of the season. Ocean City goalkeeper Yannik Oettl made two saves. Ocean City finished the night with nine shots, seven goals, two assists, three corner kicks, and committed ten fouls.

The Nor’easters return to “The Beach House” at Carey Stadium for their home opener on Sunday, May 23rd, at 7:30 pm against West Chester United. If you can’t make it out to the game, the game will air live on MyCujoo.com.
