The Philadelphia Eagles set their 53-man roster on Tuesday at the 4 pm on deadline. Here were the following transactions to get to 53 players.
The Eagles traded offensive lineman Matt Pryor and a 2022 seventh-round pick to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2022 six-round pick.
The Eagles placed safety Blake Countess on the injured reserve list.
The Eagles released veteran Safety Andrew Adams, Tackle Le’Raven Clark, Running Back Jordan Howard, Defensive Tackle Hassan Ridgeway, Tight End Richard Rodgers, and Corner Back Kevon Seymour. These veterans can sign anywhere.
The Eagles waived Safety Grayland Arnold, Offensive Lineman Kayode Awosika, Wide Receiver Travis Fulgham, Wide Receiver John Hightower, Running back Jason Huntley, Corner Back Michael Jacquet, Corner Back Craig James, Defensive End Matt Leo, Offensive Lineman Sua Opeta, Wide Receiver Andre Patton, Offensive Lineman Ross Pierschbacher, Safety Elijah Riley, Linebacker JaCoby Stevens, and Defensive Tackle Raequan Williams
Note that the players who were waived go through waivers for other teams to pick them up. If not, some of these players will return to the Eagles practice squad. The Eagles open the 2021 season on Sunday, September 12th, from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium against the Atlanta Falcons at 1 pm on FOX.
