IronPigs and RailRiders game suspended

Lehigh Valley IronPigs

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs game Wednesday night against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at Coca-Cola Park was suspended in the bottom of the second inning due to rain.

The IronPigs took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning after designated hitter T.J. Rivera singled on a line drive to left field, scoring Charlie Tilson from second base. IronPigs pitcher Mauricio Llovera threw 40 pitches (2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO) when the rain began to fall.

The IronPigs announced that Wednesday night’s game will continue on Saturday, September 18th, as a single-admission doubleheader beginning at 4:05 pm. Gates will open at 3:05 pm. Game one will be played in nine innings, and game two will be played in seven innings. Game two will begin 30-40 minutes after game one.

Tickets from tonight’s game may be exchanged for any home game during the remainder of the 2021 season or any home game in April and May of 2022. Tickets can be exchanged over the phone (610-841-7447) or in person at the Provident Bank Ticket Office.

Thursday’s game will be played a full nine innings starting a 7:05 pm.
