The Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Monday announced the signings of Prairie View A&M quarterback Jalen Moore and former Buffalo Bills linebacker Corey Thompson.
Jalen Morton started 34 games in five seasons for the Prairie View A&M Panthers. Morton completed 372-695 passes (53.5%) for 5,237 yards, 42 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions. The 24-year-old from Arlington, Texas, went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft and had tryouts for the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts.
Corey Thompson played college football at LSU. He spent six seasons with the Tigers as he was forced to redshirt his junior and senior years due to injury. While with the Tigers, he played 25 games and recorded 109 tackles, three passes defended, and six sacks as both a linebacker and a safety.
The 27-year-old from Missouri City, TX, went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft was signed by the Buffalo Bills. He made his Bills debut on November 25th, as the Bills beat the Jaguars 24-21. Thompson recorded one tackle. Thompson played in 18 games with the Bills and recorded 33 tackles and one forced fumble.
