Montreal Alouettes promote Bryon Archambault to Defensive Assistant Coach

Montreal Alouettes

On Tuesday, the Montreal Alouettes continued to reshape its coaching staff as Bryon Archambault was promoted to Defensive Assistant Coach. He will also continue in his role as the team’s director of national scouting that he has held since February 2020.

This promotion comes just two days after Greg Quick was promoted to Defensive Line Coach on Sunday, replacing Todd Howard.

The 30-year-old from Montreal, QC, played college ball at the University of Montreal Carabins for four years. In 2014, he helped the Carabins win the Vanier Cup.

Bryon Archambault was drafted in the second round by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2015 CFL Draft. He played ten games with the Tiger-Cats in two seasons and had seven tackles. Also, in 2015, he had a tryout with the New York Giants.

After his playing career ended, he returned to Montreal as a special teams coordinator and linebackers coach from 2017-19, while current Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia was at the helm of the team.

The Montreal Alouettes visit Tim Hortons Field against Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday, October 2nd, at 4 pm on ESPN+.
