Lehigh Valley Phantoms

On Wednesday, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms received six players from the Philadelphia Flyers as part of training camp cuts.

The Phantoms receive Morgan Frost, Tyson Foerster, Linus Sandin, Isaac Ratcliffe, and defensemen, Linus Hogberg.

Morgan Frost is coming off shoulder surgery last season after only playing two games before missing the rest of the 2020-21 season. This will be his second stint with the Phantoms. During the 2019-20 season, Frost played 41 games with 13 goals and 16 assists (29 points). He was called up to the Flyers, playing 20 games with two goals and five assists.

Another prospect returning is Tyson Foerster. He had a strong debut last season with the Phantoms. He played 24 games with ten goals and seven assists (17 points).

Center Cal O’Reilly will return to the Phantoms after being released from his professional try-out (PTO) contract.

Four players have been placed on waivers with the purpose of joining the Phantoms when eligible. They are forwards Gerry Mayhew, German Rubtsov, Connor Bunnaman, and defensemen Adam Clendening. These players can be claimed by other teams before heading to the Phantoms.

Fans can purchase season tickets, partial season tickets, and single-game tickets at pplcenter.com.

The Phantoms open the preseason tonight at 7 pm from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
