On Friday, the Toronto Argonauts signed former Calgary Stampeders DL Junior Taylor. Taylor won two Grey Cups with Calgary in 2014 and 2018.
The 33-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was drafted by the Stampeders in the second round of the 2011 CFL Draft out of Bishop’s University. He played for the Stampeders for nine seasons, playing in 106 games, with 154 tackles, 17 sacks, and one forced fumble. In 2019, he injured his knee in the first week of the season and missed the rest of the season.
In addition to Taylor, the Argonauts added DL Fabion Foote from the suspended list to the practice squad and signed former Redblacks LS Maxime Latour from Ottawa’s practice squad.
Fabion Foote joins the Argo’s from the Montreal Alouettes. The Alouettes drafted him in the second round of the 2017 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. He was a member of McMaster’s 2014 Yates Cup championship team.
Fabion Foote played 37 games for the Alouettes in three seasons. He had 30 tackles and three sacks.
Maxime Latour is a 28-year-old from Valleyfield, QC. He played college football at Sherbrooke University. In 2019, Latour played three games with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He also had a brief stint with the Montreal Alouettes in 2019 and Toronto Argonauts in 2018.
