Ottawa Redblacks sign two players to the practice squad

On Wednesday, the Ottawa Redblacks announced the signings of DL Tre Hornbuckle and DB Douglas Coleman III to the practice squad. To make room, the team released DB Marcus Lewis.

Tre Hornbuckle joins the Redblacks after spending the season with the Spokane Shock of the Indoor Football League. He played in seven games with 30 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.

The 23-year-old from Murray, Kentucky, played college football at Duke. He played in 49 career games with 128 tackles and six sacks. He is a two-time All-ACC academic selection.

Douglas Colman III is a 23-year-old from Zachary, Louisiana, who played for four years at Texas Tech. He played in 47 games with 141 tackles, one sack, eleven interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. He went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft and had a tryout with the Denver Broncos. He was cut during training camp.

Marcus Lewis played in four games with the Redblacks and had nine tackles. The 25-year-old from District Heights, MD, played college football at Florida State and Maryland. While in Florida State, he played in eleven games with 21 tackles and one interception.

After his sophomore year, he transferred to Maryland and played in 16 games with 44 tackles, two interceptions, and six passes defended.

The Ottawa Redblacks host the Montreal Alouettes at TD Place on Saturday, October 16th, at 4 pm on ESPN+.
