The Montreal Alouettes signed QB Quinten Dormady, DB Jermaine Gabriel, and LS Zach Greenburg on Monday.
Quinten Dormady is a 25-year-old from Boerne, Texas. He played college football at Tennessee, Houston, and Central Michigan. From 2015-17 at Tennessee, Dormady threw 100 passes for 1,282 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions.
After Tennessee, Dormady transferred to Houston. He appeared in two games for the Cougars and two completions for eight yards. Then, he redshirted the rest of the year before transferring to Central Michigan to finish his collegiate career in 2019. There, he played ten games, completing 190 passes for 2,312 yards, 14 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.
He was initially signed by the Alouettes in May but was released. Dormady had a tryout for the Green Bay Packers and was cut during training camp.
Signing Dormady comes after the Alouettes lost starter Vernon Adams Jr., injured against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Canada’s Thanksgiving Day. On Tuesday, Adams was placed on the six-game injured list.

While with the Argonauts, he helped lead the team to win the Grey Cup in 2017 over the Calgary Stampeders. He spent seven years with the Argonauts. He had 239 tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions, one defensive touchdown, and four forced fumbles. This season, he played five games with the Edmonton Elks.
Zach Greenberg is a 24-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He played college football at the University of Minnesota Crookston. He was a long and short snapper for the Golden Eagles. He signed a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019 but was released. In April of this year, he joined the Edmonton Elks but was released after signing LS Chad Rempel.
