Nick Seeler and Ryan MacKinnon headed to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Flyers loaned defensemen Nick Seeler to the Phantoms. Seeler had played two games with the Flyers. In addition, the Phantoms recalled defensemen Ryan MacKinnon from the Reading Royals.

Nick Seeler is a 28-year-old from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He is playing in his first year with the Phantoms. He did not play last year. During the 2019-20 season, he played with the Iowa Wild; he last played in six games with two assists. He later went to the Chicago Blackhawks and played in six games with one assist.

In the NHL, Seeler played in 105 games with two goals and ten assists. Seeler played in 112 games with the Iowa Wild in three seasons with two goals and seventeen assists.

Ryan MacKinnon is a 27-year-old from Summerside, Prince Edward Island. He played in 17 career games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and had three assists. Before joining the Sound Tigers, he played 124 games for the Worcester Railers with eleven goals and 39 assists.

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms return to the PPL Center for their home opener on Saturday, October 23rd, against the Hartford Wolf Pack at 7:05 pm.
