Hamilton Tiger-Cats

On Wednesday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats released DB Anthoula Kelly Jr. from the practice squad. He played in three games this year with the Tiger-Cats.

The 25-year-old from Galena Park, Texas, played college football at Fresno State for four years. He played in 44 games with 131 tackles, one special teams block, one forced fumble, 33 passes defended, and five interceptions.

After college, Kelly went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft and did not sign with a team. However, in 2020, he signed with the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL. He started all eight games with the Vipers with 23 tackles, and eight passes defended. After the XFL suspended operations, Kelly signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats visit the Edmonton Elks this Friday, October 29th, at 9:45 pm on ESPN+.
