On Tuesday, the Toronto Argonauts signed wide receiver Josh Huff, offensive linemen Thaddeus Coleman, and linebacker Brady Sheldon.
The 30-year-old from Houston, Texas, was released by the Stampeders last week. He played 19 games in two seasons with the Stampeders and had 74 catches for 998 yards and one touchdown.
Josh Huff played 49 games in four seasons at the University of Oregon. He caught 144 passes for 2,366 yards, 24 touchdowns, 18 carries for 242-yards, and two touchdowns. He was an honorable mention selection by the PAC-12 in his junior and senior years.
After college, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played 27 games for the Eagles with 35 catches for 410-yards, three touchdowns, one carry for seven yards. On special teams, Huff had a 107-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans. Huff also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and the Arizona Hotshots of the AAF.
Thaddeus Colman is a 36-year-old from Waukegan, Illinois, who played college football at Mississippi Valley State. He went undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft and signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
Colman has played for numerous teams from both outdoor and indoor including the New York Jets, New Orleans Voodoo (AFL), River City Rage (IFL), Chicago Rush, Virginia Destroyers (UFL), San Jose SaberCats (AFL), Edmonton Eskimos, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
In the CFL, Colman played in 92 games with the Eskimos, Blue Bombers, and Roughriders. He was part of the 2015 Edmonton Eskimos Grey Cup championship team. He last played in 2019 for the Roughriders.
Brady Sheldon is a 28-year-old from Novi, Michigan. He played college football at Ferris State. He went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft and signed with the Oakland Raiders, playing in two games. He played one game for the Bengals and two for the Jets.
