Lehigh Valley Phantoms

On Tuesday, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms recalled goalie Pat Nagle from the Reading Royals of the ECHL. This move comes after the Flyers reassigned goalie Kirill Ustimenko to Reading.

The 34-year-old from Bloomfield Township, Minnesota, played nine games this year for the Royals. His record is 5-1-2, allowing 24 goals (2.64 GAA), 326 saves (.926 SV%), and one shutout.

Last season, Nagle played for the Grand Rapids Griffins, an AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings. He played twelve games with a 6-6 record with 256 saves and allowed 31 goals. Nagle has played 40 games in the AHL with Rochester, Stockton, and Grand Rapids, with a record of 16-18-2, 956 saves (.906%), and allowed 99 goals (2.68 GAA).

His overall record in the ECHL is 196-84-36 and is ranked fifth all-time in ECHL history. Nagle was part of the Florida Everblades 2011-12 Kelly Cup championship team. He had a league-best 1.42 goals-against average in the playoffs. Nagle was named to the 2017-18 All-ECHL Second Team with a league-leading 37 wins.

During the 2018-19 season, Nagle split his time in Toledo and Grand Rapids. He led the Toledo Walleye to the Kelly Cup finals, but the Walleye lost to the Newfoundland Growlers 4-2. Then, in Grand Rapids, he had his best season in the AHL with a record of 9-8-1, 509 saves (.920 SV%), and allowed 44 goals (2.32 GAA).

The Phantoms return to PPL Center tomorrow night against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 pm.
