On Thursday, the Toronto Argonauts signed defensive back Tarvarus McFadden.
The 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, recently played five games for the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL with ten tackles and two interceptions.
He played 33 games in three seasons at Florida State with 54 tackles and eight interceptions.
He went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed with the San Francisco 49ers. He was waived on September 1st and signed with the Indianapolis Colts ten days later but was released.
He returned to San Francisco for a second stint in 2019 but was released and signed with the Detroit Lions. The Lions released him in August 2019.
After the Lions released him, he went to the XFL and signed with the Tampa Bay Vipers. His contract was terminated after the league suspended operations due to the pandemic.
The Argonauts next game will be on December 5th, when they host the Eastern Final for the right to play in the 108th Grey Cup.
