The Calgary Stampeders scored thirteen unanswered points in the fourth quarter to beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 13-12 on Rene Paredes’s game-winning 27-yard field goal. Both teams have already clinched playoff spots and rested some of their starters.
Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell went 7/11 for 39 yards. Backup quarterback Jake Maier went 10/20 for 177-yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
In the fourth quarter, Maier’s touchdown happened when he threw a 57-yard touchdown pass to Luther Hakunavanhu that cut the Blue Bombers lead 12-10. Hakunavanhu led the receivers with one catch for 57 yards and one touchdown.
Running back, Ante Litre-Milanovic led the rushers with eight carries for 27-yards, kicker Rene Paredes made two field goals with his longest field for 32-yards. The defense recorded one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
The fumble happened in the first quarter when the Blue Bombers were on the Stampeders’ two-yard, and the defense forced a turnover and recovered the ball that prevented a touchdown.
Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros went 7/10 for 73 yards. Backup quarterback Dru Brown went 7/14 for 49-yards, and seven carries for 44-yards.
Running back, Johnny Augustine had 23 carries for 148-yards, and wide receiver Rasheed Bailey caught two passes for 44-yards. Kicker Sergio Castillo scored all the points, making 4/5 field goals with his longest for 50-yards. The defense recorded one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble.
