On Friday, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms made several moves ahead of tonight’s game against the Syracuse Crunch.
The Philadelphia Flyers recalled center Connor Bunnaman and loaned forward Max Willman. Connor Bunnaman is a 23-year-old from Guelph, Ontario. He played 16 games this year with one goal and one assist (2 points). One week ago, he scored his first goal against the Rochester Americans in a 5-4 shootout loss.
Bunnaman has played 39 games for the Flyers with one goal and two assists. In Bunnaman’s rookie year in 2018-19, he scored 19 goals and 13 assists (32 points) and finished second in scoring for the Phantoms. Connor Bunnaman has played in 122 games for the Phantoms with 27 goals and 18 assists (45 points).
Max Willman returns to the Phantoms after playing four games for the Flyers. The 26-year-old from Barnstable, Massachusetts, has played 12 games for the Phantoms with seven goals and two assists (9 points).
He is in his third season with the Phantoms. Willman started his career with the Reading Royals for two seasons before moving up to the Phantoms. In two seasons, Willman has played in 66 games with 19 goals and 15 assists (34 points).
In addition to getting Willman back, the Phantoms added Nick Master, Wes Michaud, and Ryan MacKinnon. Nick Master and Wes Michaud signed Professional Try Out (PTO) contracts while Ryan MacKinnon was recalled from the Reading Royals.
Ryan MacKinnon is a 27-year-old from Summerside, Prince Edward, Canada. He played four games for the Phantoms this year. He did not play a game while with the Reading Royals.
MacKinnon has played 21 games in his AHL career with three assists. In the ECHL, he has played in 124 games for the Worcester Railers with 11 goals and 39 assists (50 points).
Nick Master is a 26-year-old from Broomall, Pennsylvania. This year, he played ten games for the Maine Mainers of the ECHL. Last year, Master played 36 games for the Knoxville Ice Bears of the SPHL with eight goals and 18 assists (26 points).
Master played three seasons with the Philadelphia Junior Flyers program. While at La Salle College High School, he won three straight Flyers Cup Championships (Philadelphia Area High School Championships).
Westin Michaud is a 26-year-old from Cloquet, Minnesota, has played nine games for the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL with four goals and six assists (10 points). Last year, he played 18 games for the Manitoba Moose of the AHL with one goal and one assist (2 points).
Michaud played college hockey at Colorado College and North Dakota for a combined 149 games in five seasons with 45 goals and 45 assists (90 points). During his final year at North Dakota in 2019-20, Michaud scored 16 goals and 12 assists (28 points).
He was selected to the NCHC Honorable All-Star Team and led North Dakota to the Regular Season Championship in the Penrose Cup.
The Phantoms finish their three-game road trip tonight against the Syracuse Crunch at 7:05 pm.
