Special team returner Jamal Morrow returned a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown that put the Roughriders in the lead 10-7 with 8:08 left in the second quarter. The defense recorded two sacks, two interceptions both by Ed Gainey, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell was 26/36 for 285 yards, two interceptions, and one carry for two yards.

Running back Ka’Deem Carey had a huge game with 22 carries for 117 yards, two touchdowns, and three catches for four yards. Carey’s touchdowns happened in the first and fourth quarters. In the first quarter, Carey went to the right side and broke a tackle for a five-yard touchdown for a 7-0 lead with 8:12 left.
