On Monday, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues announced that wide receiver Will Corby has signed with the Ottawa Redblacks.
This year for the Varsity Blues, Corby caught 23 passes for 425 yards and two touchdowns. Corby went undrafted in the 2021 CFL Draft.
Corby played 31 games in four seasons, with the Varsity Blues catching 124 passes for 2,303 yards, 14 touchdowns, and two carries for 13-yards. In 2019, he was named second-team All-Canadian.
Corby will give the Redblacks much-needed depth at wide receiver. The Redblacks finished last in receiving yards averaging 194.6 yards per game this year.
RJ Harris was the Redblacks leading receiver with 46 catches for 595-yards, followed by Ryan Davis 55 catches for 589 yards and two touchdowns.
The Ottawa Redblacks opens the 2022 season on Friday, June 3rd, against the Montreal Alouettes.
