Jackson Cates and Gerry Mayhew return to Phantoms

Lehigh Valley Phantoms

Shortly after the Philadelphia Flyers game against the Washington Capitals was postponed due to COVID affecting the Capitals, the Flyers loaned forwards Jackson Cates and Gerry Mayhew to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Jackson Cates is a 24-year-old from Stillwater, Minnesota, who played 19 games for the Phantoms with two goals and four assists for six points.

Cates was recalled by the Flyers on December 9th and played two games. He scored his first NHL goal on December 16th against the Montreal Canadiens.

Gerry Mayhew is a 28-year-old from Wyandotte, Michigan, who has played 23 games for the Phantoms with nine goals and six assists (15 points). Earlier today, Mayhew was recalled by the Flyers before their game against the Capitals before the game was postponed.

The Phantoms are in action tonight against the Hershey Bears from the PPL Center at 7:05 pm.
