Saskatchewan Roughriders re-sign OL’s Evan Johnson and Logan Ferland

On Monday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders re-signed a pair of offensive linemen to contract extensions with Evan Johnson and Logan Ferland inking new deals.

Evan Johnson is 27-years-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, played 14 games this year in his first season with the Roughriders. He was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the first round of the 2017 CFL Draft and played 44 games, including the 2018 Grey Cup. Johnson has played 66 games in four seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Logan Ferland is 24-years-old from Melfort, Saskatchewan, played 14 games this year in his first season with the Roughriders. He signed as a free agent in December 2019 and spent the season on the Roughriders practice squad.

Before joining the Roughriders, he played for the Regina Thunder in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) and was named a 2018 CFFL All-Canadian and PFC All-Star Team. In 2016 and 2017, he was selected as a PFC All-Star team.
