B.C. Lions lock up Wide Receiver Dominique Rhymes

The B.C. Lions re-signed wide receiver Dominique Rhymes to a two-year contract extension on Thursday. Rhymes was scheduled to be a free agent on February 8th.

In addition to Rhymes re-signing, the Lions also brought back Offensive lineman Phil Norman and linebacker Isaiah Guzylak-Messam.

Dominique Rhymes played eight games in his first season for the Lions with 28 catches for 411 yards and one touchdown.

Rhymes spent his first three seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks. He has played 44 games in four seasons with 130 catches for 1,989 yards and seven touchdowns.

Phil Norman played one game for the Lions. The four-year pro from Bethune Cookman played 13 games with the Lions in 2019.

Isaiah Guzylak-Messam played 12 games with one special teams tackle. The Lions drafted him in the fourth round of the 2018 CFL Draft. Guzylak-Messam has played 40 games in three seasons for the Lions with 37 tackles, 24 special team tackles, and one sack.
