Calgary Stampeders

On Monday, the Calgary Stampeders locked up offensive lineman Julian Good-Jones to a two-year extension that runs through the end of the 2023 season. In addition, the Stampeders signed defensive lineman Alain Pae to a one-year contract.

Julian Good-Jones played seven games and one post-season start in 2021 at right tackle. The offensive line allowed the second-fewest sacks in the CFL.

In 2020, Good-Jones attended training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles. Good-Jones played 49 games in four seasons at Iowa State and was on the First-Team All-Big 12 in 2019.

The other awards he won were the Rimington Award Watch List (2017), Arthur Floyd Scott Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award (2017), and First Team Academic All-Big 12 (2016, 2017). At Iowa State, the Cyclones’ offense broke school records or total offense, touchdowns, passing yards, and yards per play.

Alain Pae played one game for the Edmonton Elks in 2021. The Edmonton Elks drafted Pae in the second round (13th overall) in the 2020 CFL Draft out of the University of Ottawa. Pae played one season at the University of Ottawa with 25.5 tackles and six sacks.

Before heading the University of Ottawa, Pae played two seasons for the Prague Lions in the Czech League of American Football (CLAF).
