The Winnipeg Blue Bombers locked up defensive back Nick Hallett to a one-year contract extension on Monday. Hallett was scheduled to be a free agent on February 8th.
Nick Hallett (27-years-old) played 14 games in 2021 with seven tackles, 16 special teams tackles, and one forced fumble. His 16 tackles were tied for fourth in the league. The Blue Bombers drafted Hallett in the seventh round, 61st overall in the 2019 CFL Draft out of the University of Toronto.
During his rookie year in 2019, Hallett played 18 games with 13 tackles and one forced fumble. In 32 games, Hallett has seven tackles, 29 special teams tackles, two forced fumbles, and has won two Grey Cup championships.
