Juan Pablo Montoya returns to Arrow McLaren SP for two races

On Tuesday, Arrow McLaren SP announced Juan Pablo Montoya will return to the No.6 Chevrolet to compete in the Indianapolis Grand Prix and the 106th Indianapolis 500 in 2022. Mission Foods will sponsor Montoya in both races.

Juan Pablo Montoya competed in two 2021 NTT IndyCar Series races, including a ninth-place finish at the 105th Indianapolis 500 with Arrow McLaren SP. He also ran three races in IMSA with Meyer Shank Racing with one podium finish at Sebring.

Juan Pablo Montoya was happy to be back at Arrow McLaren SP. “I’m excited to return to Indianapolis with Arrow McLaren SP and Mission, to once again compete in a race that holds a special place in my heart – the Indianapolis 500.”

Montoya added, “I had a great experience with the team last year and look forward to building on the progress we made in 2021. I think we have a real shot at competing at the front of the field and challenging for the win.”

Montoya has competed in 55 IndyCar races with one pole, five wins, and 13 podium finishes with Team Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing.

The 2022 NTT IndyCar Series season starts on Sunday, February 27th, for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg at noon on NBC.
