Winnipeg Blue Bombers lock up All-Star OL Pat Neufeld

On Tuesday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed offensive lineman Pat Neufeld to a one-year contract extension. He will enter his eighth season with the Blue Bombers.

Pat Neufeld played 13 games this year and was a pivotal contributor to the Blue Bombers winning their second Grey Cup championship. He was selected to the 2021 CFL All-Star and CFL West All-Star.

In 2021, the Blue Bombers led the league in scoring, finished second in rushing, and allowed the fewest quarterback sacks.

In his career, Neufeld started in 119 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2011-13) and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2014-present).

The Roughriders drafted Neufeld in the fifth round (33rd pick) in the 2010 CFL Draft. Saskatchewan traded Neufeld to the Blue Bombers in October 2013 for Alex Hall and a 2014 second-round pick.

The Blue Bombers open the 2022 season at IG Field against the Ottawa Redblacks on Friday, June 10th.
