On Tuesday, the Edmonton Elks re-signed safety Jordan Hoover to a one-year contract extension.
Jordan Hoover (28-years-old) played 13 games in 2021 with 46 tackles, five special teams tackles, and one interception.
The Elks (then Eskimos) drafted Hoover in the fourth round (31st pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of the University of Waterloo.
In 66 career games, Hoover has 111 tackles, 23 special teams tackles, one sack, and three interceptions.
In addition to Hoover, the Elks signed running back Trayone Gray and offensive lineman Jahair Jones.
Trayone Gray (26-years-old) was recently with the Toronto Argonauts. In 2019, he was with the Cleveland Browns in training camp before the Browns cut before the start of the regular season. In college, Gray played at the University of Miami for four seasons with 60 carries for 294-yards.
Jahair Jones (25-years-old) played ten games for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League as an offensive lineman and defensive lineman. He made one tackle. Jones played college at the University of Miami (2015-18) and appeared in twelve games, earning five starts at left guard.
