Hamilton Tiger-Cats DB Delvin Breaux to return to the CFL

On Tuesday, TSN reporter Dave Naylor reported that former Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Delvin Breaux Sr. is unretiring and returning to the CFL. He is still on the Tiger-Cats roster but is scheduled to be a free agent on February 8^th.

Delvin Breaux Sr. played ten games in the 2019 season with 26 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception. In four seasons, Breaux played 49 career games, all with the Tiger-Cats, with 110 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, two touchdowns, and six forced fumbles. Breaux played in three Grey Cups. Breaux retired from the CFL on March 24^th, 2021.

In addition to playing in three Grey Cups, Breaux is a two-time CFL All-Star (2014, 2018) and a three-time CFL East All-Star (2014, 2018, 2019).

Delvin Breaux Sr. went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft out of LSU. He played for the Louisiana Bayou Vipers of the Gridiron Football League and the New Orleans VooDoo of the Arena Football League before jumping to the CFL in 2013.

After playing two seasons for the black and gold, Breaux went to the NFL, signing with the New Orleans Saints. He played 22 games for the Saints with 64 tackles, 20 pass blocks, and three interceptions.

On June 18^th, 2018, Breaux returned to the Tiger-Cats for the second time. He played two more seasons until his retirement in 2021.
