On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders re-signed wide receiver Shaq Evans to a one-year contract extension. Evans will enter his fourth season in Saskatchewan.

Shaq Evans played seven games in 2021 with 25 catches for 224-yards. In 42 career games, Evans has caught 147 passes for 2,343 yards, five touchdowns, and five carries for 13 yards. On special teams, Evans has seven punt returns for 57 yards.

Evans played 40 games in four seasons at UCLA (2010-13) with 126 catches for 1,895 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The New York Jets drafted Evans in the fourth round (115th pick) in the 2014 NFL Draft. After injuring his shoulder, the Jets released him in 2015. Evans had brief stints with the New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
