Toronto Argonauts ink K Boris Bede and WR DaVaris Daniels

On Monday, the Toronto Argonauts re-signed 2021 CFL All-Star kicker Boris Bede and former CFL Most Outstanding Rookie Award wide receiver DaVaris Daniels.

Boris Bede played 13 games in his first season with the Argo’s making 28 of 33 field goals (84.8%) with his longest for 54 yards. He also punted the ball 86 times for 3,039 yards.

Bede spent the first five seasons with the Montreal Alouettes before signing with the Argonauts in 2021. In 93 career games, Bede has made 169 of 204 field goals (82.8%) and 596 punts for 21,165 yards.

DaVaris Daniels played 13 games in 2021 with 51 catches for 597-yards, four touchdowns, and one carry for 18 yards in his first year with the Argonauts.

Daniels went undrafted out of Notre Dame and had a brief stint in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots before signing with the Calgary Stampeders in 2016.

In 2018, he played 12 games with 50 catches for 747-yards, and seven touchdowns, helping the Stampeders win the Grey Cup over the Ottawa Redblacks. He spent three seasons in Calgary before joining the Edmonton Eskimos in 2019.

In 62 career games, Daniels caught 253 passes for 3,710 yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven carries for 44 yards.
