On Monday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed offensive lineman Geoff Gray to a two-year contract extension through the 2023 season. Gray was scheduled to become a free agent on February 8th.
Geoff Gray played five games in 2021. This will be his fourth season with the Blue Bombers. The Blue Bombers drafted Gray in the first round (8th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of Manitoba. However, he went to the NFL and signed with the Green Bay Packers.
Gray had two more stints with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns before joining the Blue Bombers in 2018, where he played one game.
In 2019, Gray played 13 games on helped the Blue Bombers win their first Grey Cup championship in 29 years.
In college, Gray was named the Canada West Outstanding Down Lineman of the Year in 2017, a Canadian University First-Team All-Star, and a Canada West All-Star.
