Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-sign DBs Valentin Gnahoua and David Izinyon

On Friday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed defensive backs Valentin Gnahoua and David Izinyon to one-year contracts.

Valentin Gnahoua (27-years-old) played nine games in 2021 with one special teams tackle. In his rookie season in 2019, Gnahoua played 11 games with four special teams tackles and one forced fumble.

The Tiger-Cats drafted Gnahoua in the first round (1st pick) in the 2019 CFL European Draft out of McGill University.

David Izinyon (28-years-old) played one game in 2021. The Tiger-Cats drafted Izinyon in the third round (26th pick) in the 2021 CFL Global Draft. Izinyon played for several European football teams, including the Tychy Falcons (Poland), the Rostock Griffins (Germany), the Hameenlinna Huskies (Finland), the London Warriors (England), and the University of Surrey Stingers (England).
