On Monday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders signed wide receiver Darvin Kidsy and defensive back Will Sunderland to one-year contracts.
Darvin Kidsy recently was on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad for two seasons. Kidsy signed with Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent from Texas Southern. He played five games for the Redskins on both offense and defense. On offense, Kidsy had one catch for eight yards, while on defense had three tackles.
In college, Kidsy played 36 games in three seasons at North Texas (2013-15) with 48 catches for 539 yards and two touchdowns. Kidsy also played special teams on kickoff and punt returns. Kidsy had 18 returns for 428 yards and one touchdown on kickoff returns while fielding 31 punt returns for 265 yards and two touchdowns.
After his junior year, Kidsy transferred to Texas Southern, playing 11 games with 38 catches for 519 yards and three touchdowns.
Will Sunderland recently played three preseason games with Indianapolis Colts with three tackles. Sunderland also spent time with the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. The Packers signed Sunderland as an undrafted free agent out of Troy.
Sunderland began his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma for two seasons (2015-16), playing 16 games with 18 tackles, one pass block, and one interception. After Oklahoma, he finished his collegiate career at Troy University (2018-19), playing 24 games with 59 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions, and nine pass blocks.
