Winnipeg Blue Bombers bring back veteran LS Mike Benson

On Monday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed veteran long snapper Mike Benson to a one-year contract extension. Benson was scheduled to be a free agent on February 8^th.

Mike Benson played 14 games in his first season with the Blue Bombers, helping them win the 108^th Grey Cup championship.

Benson played in 103 games that started in 2012 with the Edmonton Eskimos. From 2014-18, he played for the BC Lions and one season with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2019.

Mike Benson played U Sports at the University of Arcadia and the CJFL for the Winnipeg Rifles.
