On Wednesday, the Ottawa Redblacks released wide receiver/returner DeVonte Dedmon to pursue an opportunity in the NFL.
DeVonte Dedmon played 11 games in 2021 with 11 catches for 103 yards, ten carries for 68 yards, and one touchdown. On special teams, Dedmon had 48 punt returns for 737 yards, two touchdowns, 49 kickoff returns for 1,223 yards, and one touchdown.
Dedmon was named to his first CFL All-Star and CFL East All-Star and won the 2021 John Agro Special Teams Award as the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams.
In 16 career games with the Redblacks, Dedmon has 15 catches for 161 yards, ten carries for 68 yards, and one touchdown. On special teams, Dedmon has 70 punt returns for 1,076 yards, three touchdowns, 65 kickoff returns for 1,765 yards, and two touchdowns.
