Staying Put, WR Kamar Jordan re-sign with the Calgary Stampeders

Calgary Stampeders

On Wednesday, the Calgary Stampeders re-signed two-time Grey Cup champion Kamar Jordan to a one-year contract extension. Jordan was scheduled to be a free agent next month.

Kamar Jordan played 11 games in 2021 with 53 catches for 767 yards and four touchdowns. This will be Jordan’s seventh year with the Stampeders. Jordan returned to the team after sustaining a devastating knee injury in 2018 and missed all of the 2019 season.

Kamar Jordan on returning to Calgary said, “I’m excited for this 2022 season and to get back to work with my guys. Let’s build and do something special this year for the city.”

The two-time Grey Cup champion played 43 games for the Stampeders with 205 catches for 3,021 yards, 19 touchdowns, two carries for seven yards, and one touchdown.

Calgary Stampeders President and General Manager John Hufnagel on re-signing Jordan said. “K.J. has contributed a great deal to the organization on and off the field during his time in Calgary, and last season he re-established himself as one of the top slot receivers in the CFL. We’re looking for more of the same in 2022.”
