The Edmonton Elks released ten players on Thursday, including defensive back Jonathon Mincy. Mincy played one season with the Elks.

Jonathon Mincy played nine games in 2021 with 19 tackles. The four-year veteran played for the Montreal Alouettes (2016-17) and the Toronto Argonauts (2018).

Mincy has played in 42 career games with 132 tackles, one special teams tackle, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

The other players that the Elks released were DL Nate Anderson (Missouri), OL Tyler Higby (Michigan State), K Hugh O’Neil (Alberta), OL De’Ondre Wesley (BYU), OL Darrell Brown (Louisiana Tech), RB Tarean Folston (Notre Dame), WR J.J.
