Montreal Alouettes

On Thursday, the Montreal Alouettes re-signed fullback Alexandre Gagné to a two-year contract extension, keeping him in Montreal through the 2023 season.

Alexandre Gagné played 14 games in 2021 on special teams with 18 tackles. This will be Gagné’s second season with the Alouettes. Gagné signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an undrafted free agent in 2016 out of Sherbrooke Vert et Or. In 50 career games, Gagné has 61 special teams tackles and one forced fumble.

In addition to Alexandre Gagné, the Alouettes signed offensive lineman Nick Callendar and defensive back Herb Waters. Nick Callendar (27-years-old) played five games in 2021 for the Alouettes.  Herb Waters (29-years-old) played one game for the Elks in 2021.

In 2020, Waters made two tackles with the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL. Waters has spent time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Green Bay Packers, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
