On Wednesday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed offensive lineman Kay Okafor to a one-year contract extension through the 2022 season.
Kay Okafor (29-years-old) played eight games in 2021 before suffering a season-ending injury. The Tiger-Cats drafted Okafor in the third round (21st pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of St. Francis Xavier University. This will be Okafor’s fourth year in Hamilton.
Okafor has played 35 career games, helping the Tiger-Cats reach two Grey Cup championships. At St. Francis Xavier, he played 27 career games in four seasons (2013-17), helping them win two Loney Bowl championships.
