BC Lions signs three wide receivers, including WR Montay Crockett

The BC Lions signed three wide receivers on Thursday, including former Atlanta Legends receiver Montay Crockett, Sean Modster, and Micah Simon.

Montay Crockett (28-years-old) spent two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers practice squad. Crockett signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent from Georgia Southern. In two seasons, he had brief stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars twice (2017, 2018), Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, and the Washington Redskins.

In 2019, Crockett signed with the Atlanta Legends of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) and played eight games with ten catches for 130 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for three yards.

Sean Modster (26-years-old) was on the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens in 2019. He signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent from Boise State.

At Boise State, Modster played 45 games in four seasons (2015-18) for the Broncos, catching 111 passes for 1,487 yards and 11 touchdowns. In his senior year, Modster earned All-Mountain West Second Team.

Micah Simon (24-years-old) recently tried out for the Carolina Panthers in 2021. He played 40 games in four seasons at BYU (2015-19) with 90 catches for 1,109 yards and five touchdowns.
