On Friday, the Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts made a trade. The Stampeders are sending four-year defensive back Royce Metchie to the Argonauts for veteran linebacker Cam Judge.
Royce Metchie (25-years-old) played seven games in 2021 with 31 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble. The Stampeders drafted Metchie in the third round (25th pick) in the 2018 CFL Draft out of Guelph.
Metchie played 31 games in three seasons in Calgary with 79 tackles, 12 special teams tackles, four interceptions, and one forced fumble.
At Guelph, Metchie played 35 games in four seasons (2014-17) with 108 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions.
Cam Judge (27-years-old) played nine games in 2021 with 13 tackles and one special teams tackle in his first and only season in Toronto.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders drafted Judge in the first round (2nd pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of UCLA. In three seasons with the Riders, Judge played 38 games with 102 tackles, 18 special teams tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions, one touchdown, and two forced fumbles.
In college, Judge played 47 games in four seasons (2013-16) with 46 tackles, one interception, two pass blocks, and one forced fumble.
