Juwan Brescacin returns to the Toronto Argonauts

On Monday, the Toronto Argonauts re-signed wide receiver Juwan Brescacin to a one-year contract extension.

Juwan Brescacin (29-years-old) played five games in 2021 with five catches for 44-yards and one touchdown. This will be Brescacin’s second season in Toronto.

Brescacin played 50 games in four seasons (2012-15) at the University of Northern Illinois with 99 catches for 1,465 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2015 he earned the Fran Cahill Award.

The Calgary Stampeders drafted Brescacin in the second round (16th pick) in the 2016 CFL Draft. Brescacin played 44 games in his first four seasons in Calgary with 69 catches for 1,046 yards and six touchdowns. Juwan Brescacin helped the Stampeders win the 2018 Grey Cup championship when he caught five passes for 35 yards over the Ottawa Redblacks.

In Brescacin’s five-year career, he’s played in 49 games with 74 catches for 1,090 yards and seven touchdowns.
