On Monday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed running backs Sean Thomas Erlington and Maleek Irons to one-year extensions.
Sean Thomas Erlington (29-years-old) played 12 games in 2021 with 70 carries for 356 yards, four touchdowns, 12 catches for 129 yards, and one touchdown.
This will be Erlington’s fifth season in Hamilton. In 44 career games, Erlington has 138 carries for 799 yards, five touchdowns, 38 catches for 415 yards, and two touchdowns. The Tiger-Cats drafted Erlington in the eighth round (66th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft.
Maleek Irons (25-years-old) played 11 games in 2021 with 23 carries for 113 yards and eight catches for 57 yards. This will be his third season in Hamilton.
The Tiger-Cats drafted him in the third round (22nd pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft. In 22 career games, Irons has 73 carries for 321 yards, one touchdown, and 18 catches for 116-yards.
