On Monday, the BC Lions bolstered their defense with the signings of defensive tackle Woody Baron and Defensive lineman Ivan McLennan to one-year contracts.
Woody Baron (28-years-old) played 14 games in 2021 with the Montreal Alouettes with 16 tackles, six sacks, and one forced fumble. In 50 career games in three seasons (2018-19, 2021) for the Alouettes, Baron has 71 tackles, 11 sacks, and one forced fumble.
In May 2017, Baron signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent from Virginia Tech. Baron played 52 games in four seasons (2013-16) at Virginia Tech with 99 tackles, nine sacks, three fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles.
Ivan McLennan (28-years-old) played two games for the Calgary Stampeders with two tackles. McLennan played 11 games in 2017 for the Montreal Alouettes with 17 tackles, three special teams tackles, and one sack.
In 2018, McLennan played 18 games for the BC Lions with 16 tackles, nine special teams tackles, and two sacks.
McLennan played two seasons at El Camino Junior College with 156 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, and one touchdown before transferring to Washington State. He played 25 games in two seasons (2014-15) with 63 tackles, 10.5 sacks, two passes defended, one forced fumble, and one special teams block.
