On Wednesday, the Calgary Stampeders signed former Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Jordan Williams-Lambert to a one-year contract. In addition to Lambert, the Stampeders signed former South Florida Bulls wide receiver DeVontres Dukes.
Jordan Williams-Lambert (27-years-old) played four games in 2021 for the Roughriders with 14 catches for 152 yards. In 24 career games in three seasons (2018-19, 2021) for the Roughriders, Williams-Lambert has 81 catches for 973 yards and four touchdowns.
“Thank you to the Calgary organization for blessing me with an opportunity to further my career and join a winning culture,” said Williams-Lambert. “I look forward to contributing and chasing this year’s Grey Cup trophy.”
Jordan Williams-Lambert played 43 games in four seasons (2012-15) at Ball State with 200 catches for 2,723 yards, 23 touchdowns, and one carry for four yards.
“Jordan is a big-bodied receiver who made a significant impact in the CFL before encountering an unfortunate injury,” said President and General Manager John Hufnagel. “We look forward to seeing him recapture his form as a member of the Stampeders.”
DeVontres Duke (24-years-old) recently tried out for the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent from South Florida. Duke played 34 games in four seasons (2017-20) with 32 catches for 400-yards and five touchdowns.
